Service description:
We recruit volunteers for local charities and not for profit organisations

We deliver direct services through our projects to meet local need

We offer capacity building support to local voluntary and community organisations

We work in partnership with the local authorities and other agencies in order to share resources and deliver better services

We host the Daventry Voluntary & Community Sector Forum, bringing together local organisations and agencies to network, share information, deliver training and develop collaborative working.

BBO Working Progress Project - At the Daventry Volunteer Centre our Working Progress project offers a range of support for anyone thinking about finding paid work

New Street Café
The New Street Cafe project, in partnership with Cummins Engineering is helping to provide a cafe environment for older people. The project aims to provide social activities as well as home cooked food, to help reduce loneliness and improve the health & wellbeing of older people.
Our cafe is open week day mornings : 9.30am - 12pm

Happy at Home Partnership
The Happy at Home Partnership which is a Big Lottery Funded project helping reduce the feelings of isolation in elderly residents across Daventry and South Northants Districts & Northampton, and enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes. Volunteers are recruited to visit elderly residents in their own homes and take them information about access to services in their local area.

Daventry Clean & Green Project
The Daventry Clean & Green project, in partnership with DDC Environmental Health, is a part-time project focussing on increasing the number of people who want to volunteer to get involved with environmental issues across the district.

We recruit new volunteers, supports existing community volunteers, and promotes the project by organising community clean-ups, litter picks and other environmental improvement initiatives. For more information about the project or to volunteer please call Angie 01327 300614

Daventry District Time Bank
Daventry District Time Bank project is a community mutual help scheme using the sharing and exchanging of volunteer skills. Volunteers are rewarded with “credits” for donated skills, e.g. dog walking, babysitting, book keeping, DIY etc. which they can use for themselves, or donate back to the Time Bank for others who need them.
