There are a number of specialist volunteering roles working with Northamptonshire Police:
Volunteering with the Police Force
- Police Support Volunteers - Work alongside officers in the field, in the office, or with a specialist department.
- Police Volunteer Cadets - An extension of our Force for young people aged 16 to 18.
- Special Constabulary - Train as a member of the force on a voluntary basis.
In an emergency situation many organisations could be called up to assist including various voluntary agencies.
The Northamptonshire Emergency Planning Team would coordinate various groups and organisations to provide different services or resources. This would depend on the type of support required and the size and type of the emergency.
