About us

The Get Involved Northamptonshire Campaign began in 2014 and was aimed at encouraging the people of Northamptonshire to become more actively engaged with their local communities through volunteering.

The first phase of the Get Involved Hub was launched in February 2015 as a unique resource which focused primarily on volunteering opportunities within Northamptonshire County Council including roles within Libraries, Country Parks, Northamptonshire Sports and Emergency Planning Services.

It was a very positive experience and I would do it again. It was a perfect introduction to volunteering. The staff were very friendly and appreciated what I did and we celebrated our work with tea and cake!"

Since then, many other services and partner organisations have used the hub as a vehicle through which their own volunteer opportunities can be made accessible to a wider audience. There are now hundreds of roles for prospective volunteers to choose from online.

The latest phase of the development of the hub was completed January 2017 and the site now offers a dynamic and user-friendly resource for both volunteer-based organisations and those people looking for new volunteering opportunities.
