A section of Corby Fire Station will be transformed into a tea party setting as part of a charity event to raise money for The Fire Fighters’ Charity.
The station will be hosting its fourth tea and cake day on Saturday, August 25 (11am to 3pm), which will include a host of entertainments such as fire engines to explore, raffles, prizes, sweets, the sale of kids’ fire helmets, t-shirts and toys.
There will also be plenty of coffee, tea and cake to buy, with all funds going to the charity’s work in supporting injured firefighters and their families.
Organiser Debbie Ashmore said: “We are delighted to be hosting this tea party event for the public again as it helps us raise funds for such a worthy cause.
“We attracted a large crowd of visitors last year and we hope it will be even more popular this year as people come along to enjoy a slice of cake, a cup of tea and perhaps win a few prizes.”
The tea and cake day is free to enter. Donations to The Fire Fighters’ Charity welcomed. Corby Fire Station can be found in Phoenix Park Way, Corby.
