Recycling roadshows are being held later this month to advise parents and children how best they can recycle before the new school year starts.

Northamptonshire’s Waste Education Team has organised the ‘Back to School Buy Recycled’ road show offering information on where to buy recycled school stationery, clothing and bags.

The roadshows will be in:

  • Daventry – Friday, August 20 – High Street, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
  • Northampton – Friday, August 27 – Market Square, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Cllr Tim Allebone, vice-chair of Northamptonshire Waste Partnership, said: “We will have information on how to reduce, reuse and recycle at schools for those wanting some handy recycling hints, and I would encourage parents to pay a visit and see what recycling tips they can pick up before the new term starts.”

The Waste Education Team is supported by the Northamptonshire Waste Partnership, which is made up of Northamptonshire County Council and all the district and borough councils in the county.
