Eight teachers from Saudi Arabia are visiting Kettering Science Academy this week to learn first hand about the British education system.
Northamptonshire County Council has co-ordinated the visit which will include lesson observations, a tour around the school and presentations from pupils.
During their time in Northamptonshire the Saudi educators will also visit Magdalen College and Northampton Schools for Boys. This visit aims to build overseas partnerships and to help pupils develop a better understanding of different societies.
Councillor Andrew Grant, county council cabinet member for children and young people said: “It’s wonderful to have teachers from Saudi Arabia visiting three different schools in the county, this is offering us the opportunity to learn about the education systems abroad and I am proud to showcase our learning environments and build overseas partnerships.”
The visitors will be having breakfast with members of staff and pupils including head teacher Mr Martin Campbell.
