Young musicians from the county will be hitting high notes of success when Northamptonshire County Council’s music and performing arts service takes three of its music groups to perform at the Royal Albert Hall next week (8-10 NOV).

The county’s youth orchestra, concert band and a brass quartet called the Sax Pistols will be representing the county at the national Schools Proms next week

The Schools Proms is a national three-day showcase of 3,000 of Britain’s finest young musicians and singers.

On the evening of Tuesday 9th the county's Youth Orchestra will be performing Sibelius's Finlandia and providing the music for the end of the evening playing the traditional BBC prom piece, Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No 1.
