Residents of Oakley Vale in Corby are being invited to a public meeting next week to find out more about plans to build a new primary school.
Northamptonshire County Council is proposing to establish a new primary school for Oakley Vale on a reserved site in Butland Road. The school will provide 420 places for children aged 4–11 and is planned to open in September 2013.
The council has organised next week’s consultation meeting to provide information about the development of the new £6million school including the design, facilities and site layout.
Residents will also be able to find out more about the process of choosing who will run the school. The “Invitation to Bid” is being launched and there will be a four month period for proposals to be submitted by potential operators of the new school.
The evening will start at 7pm with a presentation from the county council, followed by an opportunity to view the plans and ask questions.
The meeting takes place at 7pm on Tuesday 20 September at the Grampian Club, Patrick Road, Corby.
