The new adult learning brochure is now out with hundreds of courses on offer.

Enrolment is open for anyone who wants to take part in an adult learning course this Autumn 2014 and Spring 2015.

Whether it’s learning first aid or having a go at Indian cookery, Northamptonshire County Council offers a vast amount of adult learning courses for people to gain a new skill or pick up an old favourite hobby.

The courses can range from several weeks to two hours, and with classes scheduled throughout the day, evening and weekends, people are bound to find an interesting course that is worth while for them.

Courses are available all around the county in various venues making the classes easily accessible; they also begin at different times throughout the year so people won’t miss out.

New courses

New courses available this year include fishing for beginners, kayaking for beginners, Japanese cookery, starting a small business and upcycling fabrics and textiles.

Councillor Matt Golby, cabinet member for education, learning and skills said: “The new brochure is packed full of courses that will inspire you to learn something new or revisit a hobby whilst boosting your health and wellbeing.

“There is something for everyone, and it’s a great chance to meet new people and learn a new skill at the same time. Plus you can now book online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – making it easier than ever to sign up.”

Courses can be booked online now.
