A new website designed to make it easier for prospective volunteers and organisations in the county to find each other has been launched.

About the Get Involved Hub

The website has been developed by the county council and Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire to provide a searchable database which allows volunteers to easily find the right placement.

The database can be filtered by location, availability, and the type of volunteering role – irrespective of whether people are searching for a one-off event or a regular, long term placement.

The new website will also help organisations advertise volunteering opportunities through a simple, free online form.

Cllr Robin Brown, county council cabinet member for public health and wellbeing said: "The Get Involved Hub is perfect for both potential volunteers and organisations looking to recruit helpers.

“Volunteering is a fantastic chance to get involved and feel a part of something; the Get Involved Hub will make the whole process of finding the right placement simpler and more accessible.”

Jane Carr, Chief Executive at Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire said: “The Get Involved Hub provides a new resource for volunteers and the voluntary and community sector to link up. It complements brilliantly with the different ways in which volunteers can find out about local opportunities.

“We have been working closely with Northamptonshire County
Council around the Get Involved Hub and it is great to see that Northamptonshire has a county council which is committed to enabling volunteering.”
