20 May 2015

This week (18-22 May) is Northamptonshire’s Healthy Workplace Week, a five-day campaign encouraging local businesses to take better care of their employees’ health and wellbeing.

With many people spending more than 60% of our waking hours at work, the campaign challenges bosses to make it easier for staff to inject activity into and around their working day.

Free Tai Chi

This Thursday 21 May, Stanwick Lakes in the Nene Valley is offering beginners’ Tai Chi sessions for those that want to try this effective means of alleviating stress and anxiety but don’t want to take much time out from work.

The sessions are free to all Northamptonshire businesses and their employees and take place at three intervals – 10.30am, 11.15am and midday.

Experts will be on hand to offer advice on:

  • Getting active. What better place to start than the Nene Valley - home to health walks, Nordic walking, led cycle rides and more?
  • Smoking cessation, mental wellbeing and other health issues

Spaces are limited so you must book in advance by emailing Julie Hardisty Julie.hardisty@northamptonshireep.co.uk
