A community volunteering website has been re-launched by Northamptonshire County Council to make it even easier for prospective volunteers and organisations across the county to find each other.
About the Get Involved Hub
The Get Involved Hub was originally launched in 2015 to provide access to hundreds of Northamptonshire-based volunteering opportunities. The website is easy to use and very flexible, enabling people to search by organisation, postcode, area location, availability or type of volunteering role to help find the perfect opportunity, whether it’s a one-off role or a regular, long-term placement.
Organisations looking to recruit volunteers can also register with the Get Involved Hub and add their own volunteering opportunities to the website. More than 80 already use the hub and the latest version of the website will offer an even broader range of organisations the opportunity to register and find the volunteers they need.
Councillor Sylvia Hughes, county council cabinet member for public health and wellbeing said: “Volunteering is such a great way for people to enhance their lives, by giving them the opportunity to make new friends, be part of a team, learn new skills and build their confidence.
“The Get Involved Hub has now been redesigned to make it even easier for people to find volunteer roles and for local organisations to add their own volunteering opportunities and promote them to a wider audience.”
